NuWay was organized in 1982 with the belief that a well run thrift store would benefit many in and around the Kalamazoo (Michigan) area. And with focused dedication and some hard work the store was up and running. So much so, that in 1992, a second NuWay store was opened in Niles, Michigan to serve that area.  

As an organization, we are self-supporting with paid employees and do not receive any government subsidies, community agency contributions or private and public funds. Today, more than a quarter century later, we know without question that what we do

contributes to the lives of many.  

As an independent non-profit corporation, NuWay sells selective, reasonably priced used clothing, small appliances, furniture and other household items to thousands of appreciative customers and in the process, contributes substantially to the annual

operating budgets of many area charitable and faith-based organizations. Our mission is simply to remain a contributing force within the communities we serve for as long as there is a need.
